New guidelines for digital Switzerland

The Federal Council has approved its 2018 "Digital Switzerland" strategy for the next two years. The strategy defines objectives and guidelines regarding digitization in all areas of life, such as education and research, business and e-government.

At the #digitale21 in April in Lugano, representatives from business, science and education discussed the effects of digitization on training, teaching and work. It resulted in ten recommendations from the Swiss Academies that summarized the findings of the symposium.

WEF panel on digital transformation

The high-level panel discussed data protection as well as the role of the state in ethical and economic questions. Berset wants Switzerland to be an «innovation driver» instead of a «copycat nation».

When robots roll up
