Swiss Nano-Cube wins „Best of 2012“ Award

The platform „Swiss Nano-Cube“, the Swiss portal on nanotechnology for vocational and grammar school, was awarded a „Best of 2012“ certificate in the category "e-learning" within the Innovation Prize IT 2012. It aims at awaking interest for technological and natural scientific topics among youth.

OECD 50th Anniversary Video Competition

To celebrate the OECD's 50th Anniversary, young people between 18 and 25 years worldwide are invited to create a short video describing their vision of Progress. The video should be no longer than 3 minutes, in English or French and has to be uploaded on YouTube by 1st March 2011.

Wikipedia founder to receive Duttweiler Prize

The online encyclopaedia Wikipedia, which is both popular and controversial in Switzerland and elsewhere, is celebrating its tenth birthday. Its founder, Jimmy Wales, is due in Switzerland on January 26 to receive the prestigious Gottlieb Duttweiler Prize, worth SFr100,000 ($103,000).

Winners of the eLearning Awards

Schools from 9 countries were rewarded for excellent use of ICT in education at the eLearning Awards ceremony in the context of the EMINENT conference. The winners were selected among 573 entries from schools in 39 countries in the EU and beyond.
