A new international competition invites young people between 12 and 18 years of age to create a storyboard for the animated DVD series “Patrimonito's World Heritage Adventures”. Launched by the UNESCO World Heritage Centre, the 2010 competition focuses on the links between World Heritage and communities, sustainable tourism, sustainable development and biodiversity.

To celebrate the 10th anniversary of the eLearning Awards, European Schoolnet invites all schools and teacher training institutions from Europe and beyond to take part and present their best projects making use of ICT for teaching and learning.

This year’s EFQUEL Innovation Forum, the fourth in the series of European gatherings, will take place in Lisbon in collaboration with the Catholic University of Portugal and the National Institute for Public Administration of Portugal.

The course is directed at teachers, head teachers, education staff working as multiplicators / promoters and teacher educators.

Vienna will host the international conference “IMAGINE! Exploring radical visions for tomorrow's schools… and how to make them work”. Organised by OECD/CELE it will explore how innovative design solutions and financing and procurement strategies can address current and future challenges in educational policy and practice.

Education is at the centre of the High-Level Plenary Meeting on the Millennium Development Goals taking place at the United Nations, New York, from 20 to 22 September 2010. UNESCO argues that without education, none of the MDG targets can be reached.
