Continuing education: what is taught?

Complementary education
Adults who have not done so earlier, can complete basic education (elementary skills such as reading and writing, as well as a lower secondary level qualification in a few cantons) and acquire general and vocational qualifications at the upper secondary level (matura certificate, certificate of specialised middle school, specialised matura, federal certificate of vocational education, vocational baccalaureate).
Continuing education courses are also offered for certain target groups, such as people with an immigrant background, the unemployed, older people, parents etc.
In vocationally oriented and general continuing education, as well as in career guidance, various databases provide information on a wide range of continuing education courses.
