The continuing education courses exchange in Switzerland (WAB) is the most extensive database, with over 30,000 courses and training courses from the professional continuing education via university courses to general adult education. The courses encourage professional and personal development. The attendance of one of these courses is normally completed with a course confirmation but without a diploma. Generally, the courses consist of a completed vocational training or extended school education and make systematic preparations for the assumption of challenging tasks. The project "Swiss Professional Counselling on the Internet" was initially designed and realised by the Swiss Conference of the Directors of Profession and Course Guidance (KBSB), Swiss Federation for Professional Counselling (SVB) as well as Educa / Swiss Agency for Information Technology in Education (SFIB), financed via the Federal Office for Professional Education and Technology (OPET) as well as by the cantons (The Swiss Conference of Cantonal Ministers of Education (EDK).
